GDPR Compliance at INTERVEW

Over the past months, everyone has been discussing the new data protection law, which came into force on May 25, 2018. At INTERVEW, we have always respected the data privacy of our users. In anticipation of the new GDPR legislation, we’ve fostered collaboration across all our teams to ensure that we maintain the highest standards.

We have been implementing several changes to our processes and documentation to ensure we comply with GDPR. Additionally, the GDPR principles have been integrated into our product roadmap to make sure we fulfill our obligations from a product perspective. This means we will be introducing tools that will give our users more control over their data.

What is GDPR?

We understand that you've probably been reading numerous articles, emails, and blog posts about GDPR. Here's a quick summary:

The General Data Protection Regulation (GDPR) is a law introduced by the European Union (EU), replacing the Data Protection Directive from 1995. The main goal of GDPR is to give EU citizens more control over their data, including how it is collected and used by companies. To ensure this control, GDPR regulates the processing of personal data, including its collection, storage, transfer, and/or use. From a business perspective, the key aim is to be transparent and ethical in the handling of personal data.

What has INTERVEW done about GDPR?

At INTERVEW, we’ve established a plan to identify the measures we need to implement in order to be fully GDPR compliant.

Here’s an overview of what we’ve done so far:

1. Data Mapping

We’ve worked with external experts to conduct a full audit and inventory of how personal data is used at INTERVEW.

2. Vendors

We’ve reviewed the partners and vendors that assist us in delivering our services to ensure they comply with GDPR’s high privacy and protection standards.

3. Rights of Individuals

We’ve ensured that users can exercise their rights to data rectification, removal, and access within INTERVEW. You can request this today through our support team, and soon, new capabilities will be available directly in our platform.

4. Staff Training

All INTERVEW employees have been educated on the importance of data protection and privacy.

5. Product Roadmap

Our entire product roadmap has been influenced by GDPR, and we will continue to provide greater transparency, enhanced protection, and increased control over your data.
